Manly Scarf

Materials:

1 8oz Skien Peruvian Tweed 100% Superfine Alpaca (imported by Joseph Galler, Inc.)

(approx. 600 yards) (yarn is used doubled!)

Size 8 needles (or size needed to obtain gauge!)

Gauge:

19st=4in (with yarn doubled!)

Pattern:

Using yarn doubled throughout,

Cast on 32 sts.

Rows 1-7: Slip one with yarn in back, *k3 p3* p1

Rowas 8-14 : Slip one with yarn in front, *p3 k3* k1

These rows create a lovely waffle pattern with a nice, neat selvege edge.

Repeat until you run out of yarn.

Cast off in pattern.

Weave in all ends.
